Take your sewing skills to the next level with Sewing Level 2: Pajama Pants, tailored for students who know the basics and are ready to explore pattern-making and garment construction. Whether you've completed the Basics of Sewing course or already possess fundamental sewing knowledge, this class is designed to expand your abilities.

Throughout this engaging course, you'll learn new sewing techniques, pattern interpretation, fabric layout, and accurate body measurement, as well as adjusting and cutting patterns to achieve a perfect fit. From understanding grain lines to mastering seam finishes, each session is crafted to enhance your sewing proficiency and confidence. This hands-on class will challenge and reward you, and by the end of the class, you will have your own handmade pair of pajama pants to proudly wear.

Please note specific supplies needed for this class:
 
PJ PANTS PROJECT:
 
  • 3 yards of non-stretch fabric (cotton or flannel is best) (if fabric has a directional print, then purchase 4 yards; if doing shorts instead of pants, you can purchase one and one-half yards) WASH FABRIC BEFORE YOU BRING IT TO CLASS
  • All-purpose thread that matches your fabric
  • 1” wide non-roll elastic, the length of your waist measurement (we will discuss this in the first week of class. Not needed for the first week)
  • Seam ripper
  • Pair of adult-sized sewing scissors
  • Pins and a pin cushion
  • Tailors' chalk or fabric marking pen/pencil
  • 18” clear ruler (optional)
