« back to classes page
Have you ever listened to commercial, animation, or audiobook and thought” I wonder if I could do that?
If you’re looking to turn your natural talent into income— right from the comfort of home—voice acting might be the perfect fit. At the same time, it’s normal to have questions about the voiceover industry. Is it too competitive? Do you need expensive equipment? How do you actually find work? And of course—is AI taking over?
This introductory class is designed to address those concerns honestly, giving you a clear and realistic picture of what it takes to get started and succeed in today’s market. In this one-on-one, personalized 90 minute session, you’ll meet with a professional working voice actor from Voices For All via live video chat. You’ll gain insight into current industry trends and learn how accessible and affordable it can be to build a home-based voiceover setup. You’ll explore the different types of voiceover work, from commercials to animation, and learn about the tools and techniques used by working professionals. Through real-life examples from your instructor’s own career, you’ll get an inside look at how jobs are booked and what clients are really looking for. The session includes both lecture and hands-on experience.
After covering the fundamentals, you’ll perform a script reading activity and receive personalized coaching, feedback, and performance tips. Your instructor will take detailed notes and you will receive a professional voiceover evaluation in a follow-up call to help guide your next steps. This class is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to decide whether voice acting is the right path for you.
