Kids will get a practical working knowledge of the core essentials of cooking by learning how to build a dish from the ground up and then adjust it based on their own preferences. We will go over basic, healthy meal essentials such as different egg dishes, making pasta sauce from scratch, and how to build delicious salads. We will also go over cooking grains, such as quinoa and rice, and legumes, such as black beans and lentils. A survey will go out a week before the class to allow the instructor to introduce dishes based on student input.
This class is suitable for all levels of cooks from ages 10-18. Cooks will get to eat the results of their work, or take home a small care package at each session. For this class we charge a $30 per participant material fee for supplies. Exact dishes made will always be changing with the season, so feel free to take this class more than once.
