Class covers all the skills needed to master control of your camera, film or digital, and consistently get good results. With step-by-step instruction students learn the fundamentals of photography. Topics include: using the camera on manual settings, how to best use automatic settings, creative ways to show motion, controlling depth of field, focusing, white balance, using flash, and more. Shooting assignments will be reviewed in class and an outdoor camera practice session will give students a chance for hands-on help from the instructor. If you’re thinking of purchasing a camera, helpful pointers about features to look for will be discussed at first meeting. All others: bring camera and owner’s guide to first meeting. Open to teens 15 and older and adults.

Please read:  Class is geared towards either an SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera OR other camera with MANUAL exposure option. Cameras with only automatic options will not be suitable. Please Note: This class meets for a TOTAL of 6 Sessions -5 Tuesday evenings and 1 Saturday (Date & time TBD). WITH THE 6 WEEKS OF CLASS THIS WORKS OUT TO ONLY $7.33 PER HOUR OF INSTRUCTION! PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE COVID-19 VIRUS PANDEMIC THIS CLASS WILL BE TAUGHT ONLINE. IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE YOU WILL NEED A COMPUTER, SMART PHONE OR TABLET, A WEB CAM (usable camera on the device) AND INTERNET ACCESS. DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO "JOIN THE CLASSROOM" WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL AFTER REGISTRATION AND CLOSER TO THE START DATE OF CLASS.
