Do you have a great idea for a kids’ TV show but don’t know where to start? Whether you're a beginning writer or looking to transition into the world of children's media, this course offers an inside look into the creative and professional process of writing for children’s television. Taught by an Emmy-winning writer and current head writer of a new Apple TV+ animated series, this hands-on class will explore age-appropriate storytelling, show formats, theme and tone, educational content, and pitching essentials. Students will develop original show concepts, learn how to structure episodes, and receive professional feedback on their ideas and writing. By the end of the course, you'll have the foundation for your own animated or live-action kids’ series and a clearer understanding of how to navigate the children's TV landscape.

No previous experience is required—just a love of storytelling and a desire to entertain and inspire young audiences.
