Increase your enjoyment of cooking and speed in the kitchen by learning how to use a chef's knife properly.  This class focuses on the needs of the non-professional cook helping them to feel comfortable with this often intimidating tool.  You will learn about knife selection, sharpening, and safety as well as techniques for slicing, dicing, chopping, mincing, and various specialty cuts.

Please read:  Please note that this class is taught online. In order to participate you will need: 1. A chef’s knife 2. A cutting board 3. A computer, cell phone or laptop with high speed internet connection and a webcam (usable camera on the device). 4. The following vegetables: • Celery (1 head) • Carrots (2-3) • Bell Pepper (1) • Onion (1 large - yellow or white) • Garlic (1 head) • Orange (1) • Potato (1 large) • Cabbage (1 small head) - OPTIONAL
