EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE: The Gateway to Professional and Personal Success

 
Emotional Intelligence capability is essential, in these challenging and stressful times, to effectively handle changes and expectations in the workplace and personal life. Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the Self-Awareness to accurately perceive our emotions as they happen and Self-Manage them to positive outcomes, and Social-Awareness ability to accurately pick up other’s emotions and use Relationship-Management skills to manage successful interactions. EI is a learned skill and can be developed. Emotional Intelligence is the foundation for influence, flexibility, anger management, change tolerance, improved communication, workplace leadership and teamwork, increased resilience and problem-solving, time management, reduced stress, and enhanced empathy. EI can be developed through information, awareness, and practice.

In this course EI competence is developed through discussions, EI assessments and behavior styles, resource materials, activities, and movie clips concluding with a personal Emotional Intelligence Action Plan.
